Terms and Conditions

Introduction

By using www.SmartScoops.com and our pet waste removal services, you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please discontinue service immediately. These terms are subject to change at any time.


1. Service Agreement

Smart Scoops guarantees professional, reliable, and high-quality service. Clients are responsible for providing accurate property access information and complying with service requirements.

Property Access
You authorize Smart Scoops to enter designated yard or kennel areas for scheduled service.
If we cannot access your property (e.g., locked gates, inaccessible areas), you will still be charged for the visit.
We do not enter homes under any circumstances.

Gated Communities & Lock Policy
Clients in gated communities must provide gate codes or pre-approved access. If we are unable to enter, service will be skipped, but you will be charged.
For gated properties, we offer a complimentary combination lock. If lost or unreturned after cancellation, a $15 replacement fee will apply.


2. Payment & Subscription

Billing & Payment
A valid credit or debit card is required for service. Payments are billed automatically on a recurring basis.
If payment fails, service will be suspended until resolved. If 30+ days lapse, a first-time cleaning fee may apply when resuming service.

Changes & Cancellations
You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time before your next billing date.
Price adjustments will be communicated 30 days in advance and take effect on the next billing cycle.

Refunds
Cancellations are effective immediately, and you will not be charged for future billing cycles. No refunds are issued for previous payments.


3. Service Policies

Scheduling & Weather Conditions
Service hours are from sunrise to sunset.
We operate in most weather conditions but may pause service for extreme weather. No refunds will be issued for missed weeks due to weather, but we will collect accumulated waste on the next visit.
Service days are assigned based on your location and may be adjusted as needed.

Client Responsibilities

  • Pets in Yard: Pets must be kept inside during service. If a dog is present, service will be skipped, and you will be charged.

  • Overgrown Grass & Debris: Excessive grass, leaves, or debris may prevent full waste removal. We will notify you and attempt to clean any missed waste on the next visit.

  • Missed Piles: Report missed piles within 12 hours with a photo. If grass is short and no debris is present, a free re-scoop will be scheduled.


4. Additional Services

Scoop & Haul Service
Includes complete pet waste removal and disposal.
Prices are based on up to 5 dogs; additional dogs will incur an extra charge.

Yard Sanitization & Deodorization

  • Sanitization: Uses our Smart Sprayer™ to eliminate bacteria and viruses like canine parvovirus. Pets may re-enter the yard after the solution has dried.

  • Deodorization: Neutralizes odor with lemon or lavender scent.

Dog Repellent Service
Designed to deter dogs from specific areas. Results vary, and Smart Scoops is not responsible for continued pet activity in treated areas.


5. Quality Assurance Programs

Scoop Vision

All clients are automatically enrolled in our Scoop Vision program. Scoop Vision provides video transparency by recording approximately 10 minutes of footage during each service visit, capturing our team actively performing the scooping service.

Program Details:

  • Each client is provided a private, custom link to view their service videos.

  • To access your Scoop Vision link, simply contact us via text or phone call, and we will provide the link upon request.

  • Videos are recorded at every visit except when weather conditions do not permit recording (e.g., rain or inclement weather).

  • Videos are intended solely for the client’s personal reference and quality assurance.

This program is designed to provide added transparency and peace of mind by allowing clients to view the care and attention their property receives during each visit.


Scoop Scorecard

All eligible clients may participate in our Scoop Scorecard program. The Scoop Scorecard allows clients to report any missed pet waste piles on the same day of their scheduled visit.

Program Guidelines:

  • If a client notices a missed pile after a service visit, they must notify us via text or phone call the same day and provide a photo of the missed pile.

  • Upon verification, we will document the date in the client’s account notes.

  • The client is responsible for recording the same date on their physical Scoop Scorecard.

  • Once five verified missed piles are reported (no expiration period), the client may redeem the completed Scorecard for one free month of service.

  • The Scoop Scorecard is non-transferable and may only be used by the original client associated with the service address.

  • Reports submitted after the day of service, or without photo verification, will not be eligible for documentation.

This program is designed to maintain our quality standards and accountability while rewarding clients for their communication and partnership in service excellence.


6. Commercial Services

We offer services for dog runs, pet waste stations, and HOA properties. Additional services include:

  • Waste Station Maintenance: Weekly refills (up to 1,200 bags), trash removal, and optional scoop & haul service.

  • Installation & Removal of Waste Stations: Professional installation, warranty coverage, and removal services available.

  • DNA Sampling for Commercial Properties: We collect and deliver stool samples but are not responsible for testing results.


7. Client Conduct & Legal Matters

False, Defamatory, or Malicious Reviews
Smart Scoops values its reputation and will take action against false, misleading, or defamatory reviews. If a client posts an unjust, untruthful, or defamatory review on any online platform, we will issue an immediate removal request. If the review is not removed, legal action may be pursued.

Governing Law
These Terms are governed by U.S. law. If any provision is deemed invalid, the remaining terms will still apply.

Intellectual Property
All content, branding, and service processes remain the exclusive property of Smart Scoops.


8. Terms Updates & Acceptance

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. By continuing service, you agree to any updated terms. If you do not agree, please cancel your service immediately.
